This contemporary urology practice prides itself in providing innovative care through the most up-to-date urological procedures and diagnostics studies. They needed a powerful medical billing system that would keep up with a growing practice. Consequently, they searched for a solution that would provide a larger more robust platform, which would be adequate enough for all 12 physicians.

The Work:

"Our net collection ratio is in the 98-99% range, which is quite spectacular," said Dr. Cosme Gomez.

The physicians at Urology Specialty Care are constantly looking for innovative ways to improve their practice as well as the practice of medicine. Several years ago, Dr. Gomez found an article regarding the scanning of patient licenses and insurance information. He immediately brought it to Avisena's attention, and immediate action was taken to implement the new procedure. Also, his suggestion regarding an integrated electronic medical record (EMR) platform was seamlessly deployed into the system.

Additionally, they found the accessibility and portability of the web-based medical billing software software to be useful to their multi-practice group. Due to their many practices, and different locations, they are able to comfortably access pertinent data at all times. "We found that web-based access is versatile, flexible, and allows you to move forward," said Dr. Cosme Gomez.
